2018년 영화 ‘미쓰백’으로 데뷔한 배우 김시아는 극 중 부모에게 아동학대를 당하는 소녀 ‘지은’ 역을 맡아 데뷔작이라고는 믿기지 않을 만큼 섬세한 연기력을 선보였다. 2019년 3월 이집트에서 열린 ‘제3회 샤름 엘 세이크 아시아 필름 페스티벌(SAFF)’에서는 첫 여우주연상 수상이라는 쾌거를 이루며 세계적으로 연기력을 인정받기도 했다. ‘미쓰백’ 이후 영화 ‘우리집’과 ‘백두산’, ‘클로젯’에 연이어 출연하며 스크린에서 두각을 드러낸 김시아는 KBS 새 드라마 ‘퍼퓸’을 통해 첫 드라마 데뷔에도 나서며 활발한 작품 행보를 선보였다. 2021년 넷플릭스 오리지널 ‘킹덤: 아신전’에서 어린 아신으로 활약해 성인 배우 못지않은 탄탄한 연기력으로 호평을 받은 가운데, 차기작으로 영화 ‘비광’을 확정 지었다.
